Are you caught up between Anzax Finance and Alders Finance battlefield?

3 years ago I signed into a contract for what I was made to believe was a car lease. At the end of the contract I would be able to purchase the car for a residual value of 10%.

In the rush of the moment I was asked to sign a contract which in good faith I did, thinking it was in line with all prior discussions between all parties. But 3 years later I came to know I have only been renting a car (for more than it would cost to rent out a Porshe!!!). Paul Alders from Anzax Finance does not wish to sell the car and is pushing all customers to return the vehicles. He claims Adrian Alders was merely a broker of his who had misrepresented Anzax.

In the meantime, Paul took Adrian off the board of directors, and Adrian is taking him to court. What happens to all of us caught in between? While Adrian acknowledges what had been agreed with the customers he is powerless to do anything about it. Paul on the other hand is attempting to get as many cars as possible. The joke is that Adrian WAS a director of Anzax while we all got to sign our contracts, therefore, where does that leave us????

It appears that St George's Bank is behind Anzax. Should we join forces and jointly and expose all these people and banks in the mass media??? All we want is a fair go after all. Let us pay for the agreed residual value and keep our cars.

I hope someone finds this blog, as I have been unable to contact people in the very same situation....

  2. Hi Anonymous, yes Adrian is trying to help. But unfortunately he is powerless at this point in time. I think we need to help ourselves or it may be too late. I believe we should have a united front and join forces. Even have legal advice as a group and decided if together we have a case against Paul. At this point he is standing tall and it doesn't seem the outcome of their fight will benefit us either.

There's been way too much water running under the bridge lately, and I think we are all running out of options. If you'd like to discuss do send me an email to iambeingscrewed@gmail.com ... maybe we can compare notes and get joint advice.

  3. stumbled across this blog was interested because im in the same boat,
are there any updates to the court case that you know of please

  4. Our company is in the same boat. Adrian contact us and provide a figure as payout which we paid but Paul claim that is not a pay out and the rental agreement still in place. I know of a court settlement between Paul and Adrian and the Department of Fair Trading lifted the REVS on the vehicle already and I did a vehicle check and the vehicle in unencumbered. Adrian says we own the car but Paul claim we are not. It's all a big mess!!!

  14. hi i just u a email

  15. Yes we caught up. I have since paid out a vehicle and revs has been lifted. I printed the revs doc stating the vehicle was unencumbered. My discussion with Revs is once we have those certificates if Anzax has any issues it will be with DFT.

  16. Hi, I too am in the same position, Adrian had indicated that Paul had been loosing the court cases but was still chasing people. Does anyone have any new info?

  17. Paul screwed us over. I also recommended these guys to a friend and both of us ended up having our leases finish at the same time. We both were given high pay out figures, Paul told us that he had not agreed to the original terms and that we had to pay or return the car. Fortunately we were able to negotiate our price down and purchase our vehicles, but ended up paying $1,000's more than we should have. Reading through this it is clear Paul knew what he was doing... http://www.lawlink.nsw.gov.au/scjudgments/2010nswsc.nsf/6ccf7431c546464bca2570e6001a45d2/08b25d2a05bc5ad0ca2577500016ff7c?OpenDocument

  18. I'm another victim of Paul Alders. He is chasing up for re-possesion of my vehicle and asking for payout figure three time the value of the vehicle. And also threatening to take to matter to Police, stating that I'm the thief taken his asset. Has anyone resolve the issue with Paul Alders? How did you negotiate to payout?

    Please help.
